Unfortunately I get legitimate calls from numbers not yet in my contacts list.

There are some support calls I have to turn Hiya off to receive. Their protocol is I enter the issue I am having and request support call me back. Their calls get blocked by Hiya. So must turn Hiya off after opening a support ticket. Then Turn it back on when the issue is resolved.

My cell phone is also my business phone. I am stuck answering every all.

Same thing here! I have been getting a lot of calls from what appear to be local numbers only to find when I call them back and get an answer that the person whose number I called had not called me.

That's my dilemma as well.

Same here - just about all calls on my company phone. I just block the calls. I also have got the "IRS calls"

I get calls on my cell and my business phone.
Either no one is at the the other end or it's a google account recording.
Always from the USA (I'm in Canada).
I don't answer my cell, but have to answer the business phone.

Jolly Roger (above) attempts to keep them on the phone SO long that they will automatically block THEIR system from calling you again! It’s genious!

When my kids were little I'd hand the phone to them. It's amazing how fast they'll hang up.

I also used the Fah Q method which is yelling that at the top of my lungs until they hang up. It worked well but my wife thought I was nuts.

Used to take my phone to the toilet, put it on speakerphone and flush until they hung up. They kept calling though.

I've asked if they are interested in becoming an Amway Distributor or if Jesus Christ is their personal savior.

Asked on guy if he was one of Satan's minions. He said yes. I screamed and hung up the phone.

Just take the call and then put the phone on your desk or in a drawer.
