The drawback of friendly bulls...
Our cows are spoiled. We treat them pretty well and we don’t brand or do anything else that would hurt them. They are a very quiet herd. We don’t have a cattle prod on the property.
The drawback of this is animals that won’t get out of the way... Here our bulls decided to stop me while I was plowing snow so I could feed them. The big guy needed to have a scratch on my snow blade. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1523151507.jpg Then they decided to follow me which made backing up difficult... http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1523151573.jpg And here I am feeding them with the little tractor... http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1523151672.jpg I’m expecting our first calf of 2018 tonight... |
Good hay feeder. I used to put the massey ferguson tea in first gear, climb on the back, and throw segments off the tray.

Bad luck on the weather but hope the calving goes well.
How many do you have coming? |
The advantage of treating animals ethically is that they may be less inclined to kill you if given the opportunity. Or at least they shouldn’t be more inclined.

Holy poop!
They act like huge cats! :D |
Great pictures. Good luck with the calving.
When does the snow leave up there? The only time I was in Calgary I was driving my 356 coupe. It was August and I woke up to frost on the windshield. Did I mention it was August? |

Spoiled bulls. A cat will let you know when it's hungry. A dog wants to eat all the time. The bulls simply shut down operations at the facility. :) |
Where’s the Wagu ?
