That guy is going to be schitting blood for a week.

The last time i was at The Big Texan they had a list of people that ate the 72oz'er.
The oldest person was an 82 year old woman if i remember correctly.

Seahawk, we’re taking your suggestion. We’re renting a car tomorrow anyway to do the OKC memorial and will make a side trip. Looks like a great suggestion. I’ll report back with pics.

My incompetence.

I doubt it is a question of competence. Those dishes are a royal PITA to align. Had one on my Bluebird Wanderlodge and it was always hit or miss. One day I'd spend loads of time trying and often gave up, another days I'd nail it in a few minutes.

I have an app on my phone that really helps line it up to hit the bird. I think it's called dish align, Pick the sat you want to hit and the compass tells you where to aim.

Sounds like you are set on the cube.

Cheers Richard

See my Mummy in there?

Whoa, first thing I saw this morning on the news was a guy running back to his storm chasing truck. Running from a wind driven wildfire in OK. They are saying its a serious high risk fire season there this year. The fire blew over the road just behind the guy as he ran.

Be careful out there Hugh and others in that area. It does look like quite a volital weather front is going to be moving thru N Tex and Ok today and moving eastward.

Cheers Richard

It was so friggin windy driving yesterday on I-40, real work to stayin my line with semis passing and pushing me around with their draft.

Directv is supposed to have software in setup where you enter your zip code and it tells you the coordinates to point the dish, but it doesn’t seem to work, and they don’t have it on their app or website. So I have to call them and go through two levels of technician to get the answer I need. I’m ready for the automatic cube that finds the sat on it own.

RV park cable is hit and miss, some are good others have snow and very limited channels.

Seems like they only sell 3.2 beer in OK.

You won’t have that problem here [emoji4]

fastfredracing 04-13-2018 07:10 AM

Youve got a lot of friends here Hugh! Goes without saying, if you are passing by the Pgh area, and find you are in need of anything just holler . Should be a great trip !

Les Paul 04-13-2018 09:00 AM

The Okies have some weird beer rules. 3.2 at the 7-11 type places. liquor stores regular beer but it’s not cold.

With one big gust of wind in OK and the next thing you know you are in Kansas.

tevake 04-13-2018 01:05 PM

I hear you Hugh, about dicing it out with the trucks. They don't like to slow down , scheduled and all. So as conditions make you want to take it easy with the big Azz RV,
They come blazing by you blowing a big blast into your side. Quite the challenge!

Just one of the reasons I try to avoid the interstates. With my older rig I'm usually well below the speeds they and most everyone else are traveling. 62 / 65 mph. Just doesn't cut it out there.

Nice you are laying up there for a bit. The weather should have moved on well to the east in a couple of days. And make for more comfortable driving.

Interested in hearing about Seahawk's side trip.

Cheers Richard
