Doesn't have Wheeler Dealer budget, but also doesn't have Mike. All good. Glad he's back. Hopefully still has time to hang out with guys at Project Binky

What made WD so endearing and successful in the beginning was the low budget, simplistic approach and use of basic hand tools and talent. For what it's worth, Mike had the eye for the right car, Ed has the skills. Together it was a formula that most DIY'rs at home could relate to.

The new WD looks too much like every other automotive restoration show. As a matter of fact, the last 3 episodes they LOST money if you take their math into question

Did they powdercoat those wheels completely?
Holes for the lugnuts, mating face on the backside (dvd-recorders touches the hub) should be bare metal, no?

I liked the show. Pleasant to watch. Good concept.

I loved his shirt with the " where's Edd " logo on it ! Good stuff if ANY network executive has any brains ( debatable ) they would pick him up and give him a decent budget . I would really like to see him do a show without the reality TV non-sense just a show about repairs/restoration . He is very personable on camera and just comes across as a good guy with great skills .

I liked the show. Pleasant to watch. Good concept.
The lug holes, seating surface, bead surface, all of it. bad ideas that are asking for trouble with loose wheels and leaking tires. Plus they look like crap.

I really like the side draft carbs with no filters and the air horns facing directly forward into the radiator where they will suck in hot air, dirt, and bugs
. They'll work for a week, maybe two.

Other than the tech mistakes, I liked the show.

Just watched the episode, WOW. Takes me back to the original WD albeit in HD.

Now I may tackle putting in a new headliner.

Cool stuff but what's with the orange gloves?

Gloves are great for greasy/messy work but not for everything else.

Going to watch this when I get time. I do not dislike Mike but Edd always made WD worth watching.

Since a good year I've been using those same gloves(Grippaz)when wrenching on oily and greasy parts. They are nice but tear easily. For dry wrenching I use regular Mechanix-style gloves.
My hands are no longer oil impregnated, but you get sweaty hands rather quick.
When customers see the muck on those orange gloves they become very helpfull somehow
For Edd its probably a sponsoring deal.

Regards,Arnoud

I like both shows... I can ignore brewer, and focus on Ant who's a nice guy and competent. They have more $$ and it shows.. And I enjoy Edd's new show as well, more like something he made in his garage (ha) on a budget but fine nevertheless... We now have twice the wheel dealer, I'm not complaining.

It's like top gear + grant tour, gimme both...

Obviously... see the big box of orange gloves on the middle of the dash of his van while he's driving through Norway????

According the Edd's video, that was one of the main problems and why he left. He didn't want to just buy some car and throw a bunch of bought parts at it. He liked fixing things and doing DIY enhancements.

I don't mind Brewer, but give me a show with Ant and Edd and I'm all in!
