This Parenting Thing is Amazing

And overwhelming, a torrential mix of things I didn't know I could feel. Wow. I'm almost 2 weeks in and it's unlike anything I've ever dealt with before. I tip my hat to you guys who have been through it already. My wife delivered on April 3rd, Ivy Rose. She's amazing and we're in love and going insane at the same time. I was shocked at the number of friends and family that came out of the woodwork to help us out for the first month.

However, I very much think we'll be a one-child household. Thanks for listening guys and gals.

Perfectly stated.

My daughter is home this week and I am still amazed, 24 years in.

It is a good life you are going to live.

Best to you, your wife and Ivy.

Great name, btw.

Congratulations to all 3 of you!

And don't rule out more Baby Brandos in the future. She might be so fun and rewarding that you'll change your mind. They're all different.

It’s special feeling. You didn’t really know why you were alive until you had a little one. Congratulations to the three of you.

Porsche-O-Phile 04-15-2018 06:17 PM

Fantastic and congrats!

It does eventually get easier.

Congratulations!
One of my wife's and my biggest regrets is stopping after two kids! Ours are grown up (27 and 29yo) but they have both been a blessing to us and we wish we would have had more....

billybek 04-15-2018 06:39 PM

Congrats! She sure is a cutie.

We only have one, our son. Sometimes it is more than enough but I know that it is also one of my wife's biggest regrets, not having another.

HardDrive 04-15-2018 07:24 PM

They're a blessing. Mine is 14.

fanaudical 04-15-2018 08:33 PM

Congrats!

Our son is 24 now and I have no idea where the time went. Cherish every moment - they really do grow up too fast...

Ditto!!!! We are in the midst of planning his wedding now.. its surreal....

But hope you change your mind and have another one... I was lucky enough to have a boy and girl. COMPLETELY different they are in every way.

Congratulations!
Still amazed with a litter of five.

You will figure it out and just when you do the child will grow and everything changes.
Remember, every mother wants her son to meet a girl who was just like her.
Every father is scared to death his daughter will meet a boy who is just like he was.

Best
Les

Congrats Brando and wife. Nothing like having a new baby. My daughter recently said we are only having one. Nobody told me me it would be this bad. I did not have the heart to tell my daughter "you never asked".:)
