Want to buy new smoker for my home?

Hi guy, now when the sun is back I'm thinking about buying my first electric smoker. If someone has experience with it please write your opinion. I want quality one with more features. Which brand is the best? Model? Digital vs Analog? WhaI need to look for?

I read a lot of smokers on a different website. I just google about it and find the similar website. All talk about Masterbuilt and Bradly. On that site write how Bradly is the best electric smoker with digital control. Do you have any suggestion?

I have a Masterbuilt electric- it works for me. Admittedly. I'm an empty nester and my use is not as frequent as someone who wants to smoke lots of fish or meat. ,

I have the masterbuilt. It is a solid unit that is diy friendly, and offers a number of diy upgrades. I have enjoyed it as a smoker and I have enjoyed tinkering with it. Not the Cadillac of smokers, but does what you need out of the box, and can be easily modified.

Look into the Cook Shack products. We've had a AmeriQue for around 10 years. AmeriQue Smoker Oven Model SM066 | Cookshack

Ours isn't digital, but we have had stellar results with it. The digital came out a few years later.

I like my Charbroll Smoker Roaster Grill. It is just too easy to use. They do call it the Big Easy.

I needed something after our last move. A friend of mine had a Traeger that he bought at Costco - his grilled chicken/fish was consistently awesome. So I followed suit with one I bought locally - it looks identical to the current offering Lil Tex Elite 22, and I paid ~ $500 on sale at the time almost 5 years ago.

It is still running as new. Cosmetically it's suffering a bit - most of the damage occurred when my friend cooked Korean ribs (heavy on marinade) on top of tin foil. The juices overflowed and my grill was consumed with a grease fire. It got so hot the finish on the bottom of my grill bubbled and pealed off. Happily it did not affect the control unit or even the temperature probe.

I'm not a true BBQ smoker fan at heart. I rarely/ever use it to smoke food. I like the indirect heat which makes grilling a low effort event. Veggies like asparagus & squash come out awesome, we coat them with a touch of olive oil and some garlic before hitting the grill. Sausage/Brats/Chicken/Fish are perfect every single time. The only time I use smoke is on beef/pork ribs. I smoke them for 3-4 hours, then crank the heat and finish with BBQ sauce. I miss having a full on gas grill for searing beef - and I don't want that smoke in the house. So I will likely add a small cheap propane grill from Craigs list just for that purpose, then transition to the Traeger for finishing.

The smoker aficionado's here will probably scoff at Traeger, I believe they were sold out and now made overseas to lower standards. If I were a true smoker fan I would probably go with a larger heavy duty non-electric wood smoker, the kind that has the fire box separate from the cooking area.
