Just curious if the co-founder of WhatsApp is on here... read that he was going to spend more time collecting and working on his air-cooled Porsches.
Would be interested if anyone knows what interesting cars he already has in his collection??

If he is he probably doesn't want to be bothered. Judging how Pelican seems to attack certain people for how they express themselves, I don't blame him.

(As an example you can see how people treated Magnus Walker. Nicest guy in the world, but there are some who treat him like poop on this site).

Well... that's why I'm not really looking for him... but was curious if anyone on here knows him and what is in his collection.
I know for a fact that Jerry Seinfeld is on here as well as one of the techs that works on Leno's P cars... so I wouldn't doubt that he is too.

But nonetheless, would love to see how is restoration progress is going. It would be a dream of mine to take time away from work to dedicate to my build.

I know him through another forum. He used to post a lot, but hasn't posted in years, which is when he really got going with whatsapp. I was blown away and happy to hear when he sold to facebook. That forum is effectively dead now, so I would have no way to reach him anymore.

His username in other forums is not on here, if that means anything.

He used to own a modded 996 turbo back when they were new. No idea anymore.

If you look at Magnus, his use of Pelican to market himself and then abandon the forum once the brand was established and the media paid attention to him as the defining poster boy for all things air cooled 911, you could understand why some people soured to his practices.

There's a lot of people that have contributed massively to the community over the years who are either still here contributing regularly or have gone to the big air cooled engine garage in the sky that never had an agenda to create a brand for themselves out of the community. Those guys are really nice guys too.

You're not the first to tell us how nice a guy he was to them personally though, probably something to that.
