It is interesting to me that most scammers go to so much time and trouble they could make a better income just working a regular legal job.
When in college met a guy that was a theif. He spent a lot of time and trouble taking stuff and scamming companies. I made the comment that he could make more money working a regular job. He thought about it and actually got a job and worked at it for just over two months. And he did make more money and spent less time working. He quit because he didn't like somone else telling him what to do. A couple of months later he was caught red handed and with stolen property in his possesion. He wasn't just caught stealing a detective had tracked him down pinning a bunch of thefts on him. Talk about not liking someone telling him what to do? Never saw or heard from him after that, thank goodness. |
I have a theory. Somewhere in Eastern Europe there is a village where everyone drives a Ferrari.
Given the large dollars of cyber scams, this may be pretty close to the truth. |

I’ll getting this scam more and more.
I just hang up and add them to my blocked phone list. “Can You Hear Me” and “Yes” Calls This scam happens when you answer the phone and the person on the other line asks: “Can you hear me?” and you respond, “Yes.” Your voice is being recorded to obtain a voice signature for scammers authorize fraudulent charges over the phone. You can visit the FCC website to block any unwanted calls. The BBB Scam Tracker received more than 10,000 reports on the ‘Can you hear me?’ scam, but none of the reports resulted in an actual loss of money. |
The best answer to "can you hear me?" is: Who the f*ck is this?

I keep getting the nice lady calling trying to reduce my credit card interest. I think it is pretty low now but I really don't know. I have my credit cards set up on automatic payment of statement balance on due date. I don't pay any interest so how can they get it lower? |
One I got after my "hello"...
Do you know who this is? Mike? (sounded like a friend named Mike.) Yeah, it's Mike. Listen, I got a DUI, and I'm in a jam. Jeeze, I'd say you're really ficked. Uh, I'm not sending any money. Can you imagine? "Mike" then called me the son of a female dog and hung up. :D Cindy got a similar call...young girl in trouble with a DUI, calling her "grandma".. LOL! Our 48 year old daughter never had any children. |
