I have a mature inner 5 year old self I reckon....idiots :)
|
And THIS is why the terrorists hate us.
I laughed so hard my sides are hurting! |
YouTube is full of fun stuff like that.
Spectator races, bus figure 8's , even the lorry races |
My belly hurts from laughing.
|
People could die.
Something about this reminds me of when notfarnow posted photos of one of his vehicles catching on fire. Somebody responded with something like, "Do you have a permit for that bonfire, sonny?" It was one of those Higgins-turd-hopper moments (for me). |
I've never seen anything like this group before.
|
Hysterical.... BAHAHAHAHA.

Fantastic!!! I suspect all drivers ate mud and buggers at an early age.

I am not very enamored with the FIA or NASCAR so was hunting motorsport not under their broad wings. The lorry races are pretty good. The lawn mower races scare me, I just see too much that can go wrong with them. They did an exhibition on the paved front stretch oval at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Watching one go on two wheels as they exited a corner near a concrete wall was a bit queasy to spectate. Local tracks also do something where you only get your two driven wheels as wheels and the two non driven wheels skids are attached instead. On a paved track that is one sparky event. But the boat trailer races were new to me, I must have been under a rock when they came up with that one. |
safety first?
no safety third!! |
..and my inner 5-year old is grounded.

That was fricking hilarious.

Good stuff, but a little slow. Maybe it was just the snoozy camera work. I remember as a kid thinking that the "crash up derby" was the coolest thing ever. My inner 5 year old loves this stuff:
<iframe width="854" height="480" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/Ds1NalU84P4" frameborder="0" allow="autoplay; encrypted-media" allowfullscreen></iframe> <iframe width="854" height="480" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/M3-d8fOaBo4" frameborder="0" allow="autoplay; encrypted-media" allowfullscreen></iframe> <iframe width="854" height="480" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/HjYlnr56JMA" frameborder="0" allow="autoplay; encrypted-media" allowfullscreen></iframe> I don't know why. I know Vash is the man, but when I saw the guy on the bike at :30 secs in this next one, I thought of Vash. <iframe width="854" height="480" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/mf7MlxZ7VSo" frameborder="0" allow="autoplay; encrypted-media" allowfullscreen></iframe> <iframe width="854" height="480" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/mOSQwJ0T4_s" frameborder="0" allow="autoplay; encrypted-media" allowfullscreen></iframe> |
I think the guy pulling the RV might not pass the post-race technical inspection.

Ive seen a few of those boat/camper races but I have never seen anybody riding in the boats while being pulled!! Thats crazy!

Yeah, it was dummies.
But there is thing called "train races". Three cars chained together, the front one has steering and motor but no brakes. The middle car has fixed steering, no driver, just dead weight. The tail car has a driver, and brakes. Probably the perfect thing to do for a married couples night out. |
|
Demolition Derby was a Saturday night TV event in our house when I was a kid. Even then I thought "who are these people that can afford to smash up a car?". :D

Oh it breaks my heart to see those stars Smashing a perfectly good good guitar I don't know who they think they are Smashing a perfectly good guitar.. Sorry Pete! ..but he has a point ;) |
the school bus races are a hoot too!
I would just put my red lights on and nobody could pass me. |
That was hilarious! As a culture we sure know how to tear things up. We have combine demolition derbies here in Ohio. I haven’t been to a demo derby in years. A guy trashed a really nice 55 Oldsmobile at that one. I think the purse was $500 to win. I would have given him ten times that for the car.
|
Some of those combine demolition derbies look pretty funny.
I think I've heard of it, never seen what it is like until now. <iframe width="1280" height="720" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/1UQtwLlqBSA" frameborder="0" allow="autoplay; encrypted-media" allowfullscreen></iframe> |
Fitting.
