who wears Australian boots. Blundstone or RedBacks

i'm not where i need velcro laces yet..YET!

but damnit..i sometimes hate tying laces. my nursery sells Redbacks. they feel pretty good, but i worry about that loose wobbly feeling.

who loves their pull on boots? i wear 8" tall Danner work boots all the time, and i could use a break from laces.

I have dress Blundstones that are awesome. I have worn Redbacks at the shop for 15 years. Super comfy. Suprisingly no issues with ankle support. I was afraid of the same

A couple years back I got a pair of cowboy boots (one of the big label brands, don't remember the name right now)..

I was also concerned about the loose fit... however I have done some long walks with them and had no problems.

I wear Blunnies in the Winery and at home for yard work. I wouldn’t wear for a super long walk or where I want stability though.

On my 2nd pair of Blundstones. 1st pair are pretty beat up though haven't worn out yet. I wanted to get started breaking in another pair. I wear them as my general purpose footwear when not at the office, so they are my "daily drivers" for evenings and weekends. I throw on my Chippewa boots for any serious work, but otherwise I wear the Blunnies.

I've got a pair of Redback Terra combat boots - these are the ones that were issued to the Australian Army in the early 2000's - to about 2010. They had really bad feedabck from the soldiers that had to wear them but I find them incredibly comfortable and I used them every week for a year for construction work and they held up

Have been wearing Blundstone field D ring type boots for the last 35+ years at work. I work in a Coal Preparation Plant, so constantly walking through coal slurry or magnetite slurry.

In the last couple of years, I have starting using the 997 zip up style Blundstone boot. The zip ups are so much faster to put on & take off, I probably readjust the laces once a month to maintain good ankle support.

I wear German Riekers so I don't have to do up the laces. The Australians have the same called RM Williams but cost about four times as much. Haha, the RM Williams are bit of a secret handshake between individuals to show off they spend $600 on a pair of boots.

When I was in the U.S. Navy a long time ago those were called "welder's boots" and were super hard to come by. I got a pair while on the CGN-25 as I took the supply department chief to a big party we threw in Pusan Korea and it was pay back. He told me later he caught some sort of ..........!

I’ve been wearing a Georgia Boot for 15 years. They are comfortable and wear well.

I bought the same boot but taller and it feels funny on my calves. Never had the same problem with my coboy boots, but they are taller.

I never heard of them. I have a pair of Wolverine pull on boots I like when the weather gets cool. Lately I sprang for a pair of Redwing logger style boots with steel toes that are 8 (or 10?)inches high and lace up. I needed something with extra traction, stability, and decently high for rattle snake protection during warm months when I need to walk on hill sides. Because of those things, I don't mind lacing them up. I wish we had more choices of good quality things made in other countries.

I have a pair of original Australian Bludstones that I have worn in the garage for over 20 years.

BUT I will never buy another pair as Bludstone sneakily packed up the Tasmanian factory and moved boot production to China.

Repeat - Bludstone are made in CHINA.

Think I will investigate the German Riekers (hope they are not made in China as well).

The sneaky Germans get them made in Portugal by cheap labor.

I buy them because the importers are just down the road from me and have a "factory shop" selling ends of lines etc.

My blundstones lasted 25 years. Don’t have the heart to throw them out even though are not wearable. Anyway, when they died I went to replace them and learned they were being made in China. This pissed me off so I bought some Rossi boots. Very very similar and very nice

i got to try a bunch on.

9.5aus size seems to be the most comfy. i could get by with a 9 actually. gonna throw caution to the wind and go with the looser fit. i was lucky..a local store had black ones. now that i got the size down, i am ordering Brown RedBacks. if the store had brown, i would $pend local.
