"super" child
Hot on the heels of the 'super' parenting thread comes the obverse:
New York parents win legal battle to evict son, 30 - BBC News Seems like Michael Rotondo, the 30 year old, unemployed, 'super' child whom pays no rent and does no household work, ignored the formal letters from Mom & Dad to vacate the house so they took him to court. The Wonder Boy, who represented himself in court, demanded 6-months notice before he would leave which the judge found to be unacceptable and told him to get out. Of course, Wonder Boy did not think the supreme court justice that heard the case did not read the case properly and will be appealing. It would appear that WB has a very healthy ego if nothing else. My favorite part is Mom & Dad gave him $1100 to help with moving expenses which Wonder Boy spent it on "expenses" saying "I had to spend it and I'm not sorry about it" and "my business is my business". How is it possible to be nearly 31 years old and have personal business when you do nothing to support yourself? Of course there is "super" parent overlap as there is a discussion to be had of parental enabling and how much is too much. In my mind, while they allowed more than I ever would, at least they did finally gather their stones enough to toss out the bum. |
He who represents himself has a fool for a client. Good on the judge.

(ignoring NY tenancy laws of the 'underprovided'..)

My parent moved 4 times, but I found them every time...Finally they bought me a house...they considered it to be cheap in the long run. They said just don't spend over 1.5M. Now they can rest in peace...as they don't have to put up with me any longer.

Imbeleivably, I like the guy.
If he plays his 15 minutes of fame right, he'll be rich. |
He should work out some sort of endorsement deal for some kind a product for "lazy" people.
Edit: Amazon Prime? |

Maybe he can get paid to endorse someone else's lazy product, that wouldn't really require any work on his part. But then again, his target market would likely be too lazy to afford or buy the product, lots O'flaws. He's got brass ones, but represents a great deal of what is wrong with people and our society. I see nothing in him that is worthy of admiration or worthy of anything. He is a draw, a leak, a cancer on society. He takes and takes and contributes absolutely nothing. If there is any justice he'll get too lazy to fill out the paperwork to sponge off other people. |

We moved all the time when I was kid. Dad was a Air Force pilot. My fear was they would send me to the BX and move before I got back home.

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1527799549.jpg At the risk of PARFing this up, didja catch the part in the movie where the dude claimed to be a domestic terrorist? SDS, weather underground, Chicago seven .... Fitting. Makes him less than worthless. Quote:

I don't see how this is hard?
Wait for the kid to be out of the house for an extended period, say half day. Get a locksmith to change all locks, move all their stuff to the driveway, lock doors. Alert the kid to get their stuff and warn them that you will call the police for trespassing in case he breaks into the house. If you are more aggressive, you can also threaten to shoot them if they break in. Of course, if you can pull off the above, a simple GTFO! would have probably gotten the kid to leave when they were 18 ... G |
i would have sold the home and moved before i negotiated with that little terrorist.
at least the living trust and will crap would have been easy. whatever the DB's name is.."SPCA" is easier to spell. |

Evidently bad parenting has a tendency to snowball ;) |
In some cultures (and 1st gen here as I've rented from) the child stays with the family until middle years and marriage etc. But they go to school, work, fix, cook, learn, help with grandparents, and the mortgage in the meantime. The parents crack the whip.
I think whips are illegal according to CPS. |

Maybe going on General Assistance will be his level of contribution to society.
