James Madison High School
I have a dear friend, she's Cambodian, came here 20 years ago and is a self-made woman who has a good job, owns a house and raised two boys. Hardest working, most honest woman you will ever meet.
She never got a U.S. high school diploma and her now 12-year long employer is starting to take advantage of her experience and work ethic. She is operating water jet cutting equipment and the only way they will give her a raise is if she gets a high school diploma. She enrolled in this online high school to get her diploma. James Madison High School Seems like there is a lot of conflicting reviews about the school. Anyone know anything about it or have an accredited online school they can recommend?

I know our community ed/adult ed branch has online classes for GED, but of course they are for Florida...
Might do better finding an actual accredited (ie, can give federal financial aid) community college in your area that offers teh same... at least you know that way there is some oversight from your regional accreditation board. A quick google shows Bunker Hill CC (bhcc.edu) has online classes for GED prep (although Mass. just changed the name from GED to HiSET - Test Prep and some more googling shows that they are indeed accredited.... |

Thanks Steve. I'm trying to steer her to Bunker Hill.
