Tabs, all I can say is that you always entertain me in your rants.

Does history repeat itself??? absolutely. Man is not that versed with remembering anything other than the present. Which in my opinion is good, does your dog or cat really care about tomorrow? or worry about the past??

If the new thing would be that everyone in this great land would all get 1 million bucks, I am sure that within a yr or two 3/4 of the population would be broke with the 1/4 having all the money. You can't improve stupid. It's like the animal world, you have alpha males who dominate and the rest are the sheeple.

Do I worry about the future, yes, for my grandkids but then again they have been worrying about grandkids forever. They will adapt.

So, in the meantime, relax, life is short at your age you have figured out how to carry on. As they say, stop and smell the roses.

I do not worry nor stress over what I write about. It is something I have no control over. As said I have to play the game like there is no end, I have hedged a bit though.

That said I do worry from time to time about my health, and ironically about outliving my money if the game should continue on..

So what does having clarity about the current state of the economy, politics and society buy me? It is knowing the geography of the landscape that I have to traverse through life. Knowledge is power. In a moment of crisis you can keep your wits about you and not be confused.

As someone told me many moons ago, diversify, owe nothing to no one and save for that rainy day and everything will eventually work out, more or less.
