Solidworks

I know we have a few users here.

Have some SW format files I need as stl so I can generate obj and or fbx.

Anyone able to convert to stl for me?

You can import solidworks parts into Onshape (free, web based) https://www.onshape.com/
then export as stl.

I miss Solidworks (had edu license when I was mentoring a robotics team) but Onshape is a viable replacement.

Funny, Onshape is by the same people who brought Solidworks to the masses. (they broke away from PTC pro/e in the early 90's)

They sold SWx to Dessault around 2006 and they must have had a 10-year no-compete clause, because 2016, boom Onshape!
