Hagerty and speeding ticket

I have my 911 and 944 insured with hagerty. I got a speeding ticket yesterday for going 54 (really 60) in a 45 (really 50) . It was in my work truck insured by others. Now I’m worried they might drop my coverage, anyone have any knowledge on this. I haven’t had a ticket in 3 years.

Talk to the prosecutor and work a plea deal where you plead no contest, pay a fine and court costs, in exchange for the ticket being dismissed or put on some sort of probation.

They are more interested in collecting money from you than putting points on your license. I haven't had a ticket in several years, but when I got them on a semi-regular basis, none of them made it to my record.

You may be able to beg out of it as per above. I did last time. Yay!

Also, some states - washington for example - have personal and work MVR's. We pull them in my office and the personal vs work citations don't cross. Florida may be this way.

Finally, I suspect one ticket will not get you dropped.

I have Hagerty and went through the same 'ticket in company car' scenario. There was zero change in premium.

Hagerty spent $10000 repainting my 911 and they did not drop me...

Around here, we are allowed to take a defensive driving course but no more than once a year. You still have to pay a bunch of fees plus the cost of the course but no ding on your insurance.

I had a ticket for 55 in a 40 in my 911, stupid BS hidden sign in the country. Leland West didn’t say a word or change my premium.

When I was first starting out practicing law I would take ticket cases for the BMW mechanics I used. Usually when the DA saw me coming they would just dismiss since they really weren't interested in pursuing traffic tickets anyway. Worked out well for my clients and about 100 bucks for me.

Thanks everyone ,I definitely didn’t have the cleanest record in my younger days and just trying to keep my rates down.
