Porsche to Compete With Tesla S

It will do well against the Tesla.

I'm looking forward to more and better electric vehicle choices. Polestar, now owned by Volvo, will be concentrating on making all electric cars with an objective to outperforming Tesla. Their first halo car is the Polestar 1 hybrid, with 600hp and 737 lb/ft of torque:

This extremely limited production car will be followed by the more mainstream Polestar 2 all electric, to compete with the Tesla Model 3 and appear in 2020, then a Polestar 3 SUV.

The Polestar and the Porsche Taycan are both beautiful cars. My biggest problem with Tesla is they are pretty ugly and bland styling-wise, especially for a $100k+ car. And the new Model 3 looks like a duck.

Not sure about the Taycan name.

Me too. A luxury all-electric car would be perfect for my wife, who drives daily but never very far. I would be interested in one if it was available in the mid-level luxury price range, and coming from a car company with a more sustainable business model than Tesla.

Lot's at the compact car end, and a few at the top end (e.g Tesla S, BMW i8), but nothing really in the middle.
