Manwich with corn and onions sounds great! Reminds me of stuffed green pepper without the pepper.

Today's menu - Manwich with corn and onions, canned peas, cottage cheese, kettle cooked potato chips. I may never have this combination again, but it's like a laundry list of things I like that she would NEVER eat.

And for desert: Soaking in the spa with a tumbler of margarita mix cut 50/50 with fresh squose lime juice, and dollop of cheap tequila at my side.

I'm beginning to enjoy this retirement thing.

Nothing weird about that at all!

Cheddar cheese and peanut sandwich.

Also like Hawaiian pizza, something about the sweet/salty/sour combo.

Local place makes a In-n-Out pizza, cheese pizza with ground beef, fresh tomato and lettuce, drizzled with thousand island.

I love braunschweiger. ^That^ is weird, but then I made a sandwich out of it once as a kid, and now I will get a craving for the same thing every few years. Braunschweiger sandwich, bread, mustard, ketchup, braunschweiger and potato chips (the chips go in the sandwich).

I fixed it for you. After "Balut" you really didn't have to mention anything else. Hell, the rest probably improves the situation.

Nothing weird about that at all. I've never had it in Canada, but I've had it a few other places. It's great. It's kind of like a Canadian version of chili-cheese fries.

I'd love to have some good Canadian style poutine with fresh curds some time, but I'm not holding my breath since I don't expect to be in or near Canada any time soon.

To be clear, now that I've had it, I don't think it's weird. And I have known about it for many years. However, it is an ingredient combination that isn't normally seen in my area (South East). Oh sure, now there are food trucks with it, but I'm speaking generally.

Same goes for the other things I posted...they are ingredient combinations that seem to work, maybe a little strange until you've tried them. Still, I despise Hawaiian pizza...

I like Hawaiian pizza. Cooked pineapple is tasty.

I like Hawaiian pizza. Cooked pineapple is tasty. The sweet and acidity of the pineapple goes well with the salty fattiness of the rest of the pizza.

My wife is Filipino and isn't crazy about balut, but she says the beaks are crunchy.
