Thanks To All
My car went back on the ground today after 3-4 months of improvements. New headliner and rear window gasket. All-black metal window trim, now. Meanwhile, Rebel Racing raised the spindles on my struts 30mm and installed a cool triple-welded adjustable tie rod end brace thingie. Steve Weiner had my strut inserts and rear shocks custom-valved by Bilstein. (22/29 torsion bars) New Euromeister wheels and Continental Extreme Contact Sport tires. I'm pretty stoked. Alignment and corner balance are scheduled for Friday, but the car drives amazingly.
Special thanks to John Walker, whose patience seems as endless as his knowledge. Herr Walker is a treasure here. And a good friend to me. Steve Weiner (Rennsport), who has a lot of respect everywhere. Al Denison who I have never met but who looks like Santa Claus and has forgotten more about refurbishing auto interiors than you and I know combined. He was very clear about what chemicals to use, how to use them and why. (headliner and two interior panels needed to be dyed burgundy) And special thanks to Tyson Schmidt who has helped me many times and whose intellect and understanding I find consistently remarkable. You should be an engineer, Tyson. It's not too late.
