I don't regret it, but if his budget deficits are as large as predicted I think he'll be a one term president.

I also don't like how he's rushing health care reform. He just got in office, what's the big hurry for something that will be one of the largest pieces of legislation in some of our lifetimes.

Thanks Steve and David for what appears to be a bit of honesty. It has sickened me as an American to not hear ANY Obama voters admit to the slightest bit of concern about ANY of Obama's policies to date. I will reserve my "I told you so" type smart @ss remarks for another time.

One of my best friends voted for Obama, even sent him some money (just before he declared bankruptcy). Every time we talk, he starts out by apologizing for voting for Obama. Man, nothing is more expensive than regret.

Pretty much where I stand. Bigger fish to fry than health care this week. Republican arguments that it wouldn't work and does not work in other countries however seem to be wishful thinking. Particularly that part about it not working in countries where people enjoy a higher standard of living, and live longer while enjoying it.

BTW it is easy to say that Kerry would have sucked as president, as it cant be proven. Just a easy to say that McCain would have been great, but I can't say he won the hearts and minds of the mainstream with the New Hope of the West as his running mate.

Considering what a fool Mr Obama is reported to be, I expect that things could be far worse than they are. He may be enlarging the trench, but he hasn't fallen in quite yet.

I'm really surprised by all the hate on Obama. He's just a man. He's not the anti-christ and he's not Hitler, but he's also not our savior. Give him a chance. We gave W enough of a chance.

Does anyone have a problem with the fact the nowhere in the Constitution is the federal gov't. granted the power to take over entire industries or tell people what to do with regard to any kind of insurance? Please read up on the 10th Amendment if you think this is no problem.

Give him a chance? What was that MASSIVE stimulus money all about? He's doling that out slowly to people who will destroy working cars. Otherwise, he's pretty much sitting on it until it can help him buy favor.

Ditto! I can't think of a single thing he promised that I wanted or even thought was the job of the fed. gov't. other than military deployments.

I think Obama is getting us back on track in many areas. The things many of you are b!tching about are your imagination or a radio talk show host's imagination.

One reason I don't post much on the current administration is that I don't like to post things I don't feel I can defend with facts. That means reading bills and press releases so I can quote specifics rather than relying on things I've heard.

If you want to discuss facts not related to the Health Reform or Second Stimulus Package (which have been beaten to death) I'm all eyes and I'll do my best to respond from the liberal point of view as time allows.

You think WH press releases have something to do with facts? Shirley, you can't be serious. I've been in the press release biz since 2001 and even those groups I support usually write drivel for press releases. Wanna know what ice cream flavors are most popular among Native Americans? That's the kind of nonsense the Census Bureau puts out (courtesy of your tax dollars). Rest assured, no one EVER puts info in a press release that doesn't support their cause or point of view. You might as well get your news from Robert Gibbs's press conferences.
