now how many countries that you have traveled outside of an airport have ENGLISH there, let alone on their governmental forms.


in high school i was forced to take latin. next german and then to germany in 1972. picked up spanish/spanglish since i have lived here all my life. when i went back to the big house(college) had to take another language. so this time it was spanish.



if you cant speak the language in a foreign country, you get a translator, a computer, or a "see it say it in spanish" book or whatever other flavor language yer dealing with and LEARN IT!

I lived in Costa Rica off and on for over ten years, two years solid one time. I took my drivers test in Spanish, I paid my property taxes in Spanish, I imported three cars in Spanish, I talked to the gardeners and house keepers in Spanish. I talked to the cops in Spanish when they pulled me over for speeding. I had to show them a Passport or Drivers license any time they pulled me over.
When I drove down there all the cops and border crossings expected you to speak Spanish.
