Does anyone else remember the world conflict/turmoil during the Carter presidency?
Seems that what is old is new again. The world is currently in huge turmoil, civil unrest is at a high pitch, oil prices going through the roof, inflation is at hand. We just need some odd/even gas days, lines at the pump and a few hostages and it's 1980 all over again.
Oh, and Oblama's approval ratings are at an all time low. Must suck to be him or one of his devoted grovelers. |

Agreed. Once Carter bungled the hostage rescue (444 days in captivity for those folks!) they realized they were dealing with a militarily ineffective leadership and it was open season on the US and US interests.
If McCain were in office right now, we'd at least be having foreign governments and unaffiliated outlaws fearing and respecting the USA, not mocking it openly and thinking they can have their way with us. |
