So no protection for our agents in Mexico, pull them out, why are we giving Mexico $1.4 BILLION to fight drug cartels and they won't let our agents carry a weapon. Screw Mexicko, CLOSE the border. Lock it down, pull the troops home and station them at arms length from the Pacific to the Gulf. Good job obama.

President Obama on Thursday appeared to reject the idea of arming U.S. agents in Mexico, saying after a meeting with Mexican President Felipe Calderon that the two governments will look at other ways to protect American officials in the wake of a fatal shooting last month.

The OTHER way is pull them out and lock down the border, send any and all law breaking illegals back.

If they are forbidden from protecting themselves, and their host is unwilling or unable to do so, they must be recalled.

Why is that even Obama's call? Does he decide uniform designs too? Aren't there people who job it is to negotiate parameters of our cooperation with foreign governments and what equipment the work requires?

Absurd. Our drug policys have basically caused a war down there. We need to change our drug laws. But even if we did that tomorrow, there would still be violence for a good long time. Asking agents to operate unarmed in what is basically a war zone is wrong and cowardly.

We very much do allow armed foreign agents into the US when they're used for security for visiting dignitaries. And, as long as we have them checked out and they're working with our guys here and not solo, yes, I'd have no problem with them being here with their guns.

What's the diff, every illegal Mexican dope runner in El Lay has guns, every gang banger has guns, maybe it's time the so called good guys can carry too.
If the US Agents can't carry in Mexico we should leave it to the Mexicans to do it and keep our $1.4 BILLION. Fight them coming across the border, close it down.
