Angry Bikers Chase Westboro Protestor Out Of Joplin

angry, Baptist, bikers, chase, church, Joplin, Obama, protestor, Westboro JOPLIN, Mo. (KMOX) - Three hundred bikers turned out in Joplin over the weekend to turn the tables on a notorious anti-gay church.

Members of the Westboro Baptist Church of Kansas had planned to protest President Obama’s appearance to mark the terrible devestation left behind by the May 22nd tornado.



But only one church member showed up, and when the bikers found out about it they started to chase after him.

The church protestor needed police protection to escape injury — and get out of town.

I do not like those tools from that church, I resent the heck out of their calling themselves Christians, and I do not like what they say.
But I'd fight to protect their constitutional right to say it. Just as I'd fight to protect mine. *

Those nice young cyclists simply wished to engage in some peaceful verbal discourse with said protester. Certainly the right of free speech applies to them as well?
