Another 1st for Dems in California
I think it's a 1st, now democrats will be able to dress as they please, no more dress code.
California Bill Could Protect Cross-Dressing in the Work Force By Pete Griffin Published June 02, 2011 AP A California bill working its way through the state legislature providing more protection for transgender individuals in the workplace could allow for cross-dressing employees to wear whatever they want to work, despite workplace dress codes. AB 887, which passed through the state's Assembly on May 16, is causing a stir among critics who feel it's raising the identity of a transgender individual to the same level as one's ethnicity or gender. "If you talk to the average (human resources) manager and ask if there would be any disturbances if a man came dressed as a woman one week and then as a man the next, I think the (HR) rep would say 'yeah, this would be disruptive to the workplace,' " said Brad Daucus, a California attorney and president of the Pacific Justice Institute. “It will inherently cause customers to be uncomfortable and not want to do business.” Sponsored by Assemblywoman Toni Atkins (D-San Diego) and co-authored by Equality California and the Transgender Law Center, the bill would strengthen civil rights protections in the areas of employment and housing for individuals based not only on the gender of the person's assigned sex at birth, but also by a person's "gender expression." ,,,,,,,

Doesn't your legislature have something more pressing to work on?
Here in Texas we're trying to pass legislation to prevent groping at the airport.

What, like how broke we are, at the same time yesterday in LA there was a lottery for a few million in tax breaks for movie compainies. No, we just have money to burn. Or give to Jerry Brown's union friends.

I wonder if having balls will ever become fashionable in California. All indications say No. . . then again, they do have Chaz. (shudder)

The same thing that happens in New York and California are what is happening to the rest of the country, the same losers get voted in as they are bankrupting the state, the same mindset is all over the country, that's why obama has such a good chance of taking the election again. Look at California, it's the way of the people. You all complain about what happens here but you are getting it too.

Sad to say, California is a trendsetter, and is hopelessly bankrupt and out of control.

It's mostly centralized in the bay area. wee have tards down here too, but no where near as many as they do up there. If they split this state in two southern California would be a prosperous, nice place to live. And northern california would be a bankrupt cesspool full of crime, drugs, and welfare in three years. cue a bleeding heart lib-tard to threaten to cut off our water in three .... two ... one ..... |
