It is a safe assumption that Israel does not want Obama to be re-elected. He is not a reliable ally against their enemies. If it looks like he's going to be re-elected, then there's really no reason for Israel to hold off on attacking Iran. I wouldn't doubt that they're already making preparations to do that.

If they attack before the election, there might not be an election...

The Jewish Lobby in America is very powerful, and they contribute lots and lots of MONEY. They have been on the Democrat side of the ledger forever..going back to the Social progressives of FDR. Now with Obama and his less than affirming support for Israel, that Lobby might just sit this one out or go to the Republicans...even a socially repressive Santourm...on 2 counts, first is that he is a man of religious principle and second because of his scruffy blue collar ism and support of basic Union tenets. So BO has done something no other Dem has been able to do, and that is alienate the Jewish vote..Yea Obama


Even under the most dire of circumstances it would be very bad JUJU not to hold an election....ones name in history would be synonymous with Benedict Arnold abd that is the biggest reason why a election will be held. However one would not put it past the big central govt Dems. An emergency measure proclaimed.

This has nothing to do with the Jewish vote in the US.

The Israeli government is tracking the election, but only for purposes of when to attack Iran... before the election, or after. That's all they're concerned about.

I do think Tabs is correct; if the attack is before the election, we will have an emergency government in the US.

Oh brother! If anything israel will try to blow up Irans non existent nuclear weapons sights. Iran will kick israels ass. Israel will retaliate and do something even stupider. China and Russia will aid Iran. Israel will get punished.

There is no need to suspend elections. Look how Goober assured his reelection. He started a war with Iraq, then had his surrogates campaign on the dubious idea that it shows weakness to change leaders in the middle of a war. Worked for him.
