I'm heading down there on Tuesday, but I have track days Friday and Saturday at Portland, so won't be coming back until Sunday. I'll let the Vancouver crowd know about it while I'm down there though.

Mind you, Friday night might be a "late one", so they may not be there that early. ;)

Last month we ended up getting cut off at the Hooters after our track day... HOW THE HELL DO YOU GET CUT OFF AT A HOOTERS?! ... made for a late return trip home the next day though.

jeff, there are at least two 930 slant noses down there. both appear to be in mint condition. :)

jeffgrant 08-06-2006 11:16 PM

Very cool... will keep my eyes open for them. :)

I was also thinking that we could drive down to Portland after our XXX breakfast and take in the sites.

pozican 08-07-2006 04:41 PM

I'm looking forward to a drive this saturday -- I dunno if I would be up for a drive to portland though -- too long, I have stuff to do in the afternoon.

Thanks for the PM, Scooter.
Got the tires last week and went for an extra day of roaming through Oregon to try them out.
Potland is too far, and usually too hot for me.
But, anther run to Mt. Hood is in the cards.
My usual routine:
Arrive in the evening in The Dalles, get Becks beer and a Veggy-Pizza from Spooky's, watch Baseball, get up early to have breakfast at Cousin's around six, then drive all morning thru the country towards Mt. Hood.
Blue sky, sun roof open, RD on. That's living!

pozican 08-08-2006 01:26 PM

How many of you are going on the 12th?

nize 08-08-2006 01:29 PM

i'll be there.

Porsche-poor 08-08-2006 02:53 PM

I will be there this month.

Scooter 08-08-2006 03:06 PM

Pozican, we always have people show up, so there is no real reason to ask in advance. Just show up. There are many others that will be there, but won't say they are coming.

Jeff Higgins 08-08-2006 04:14 PM

I'll be there, but I won't say that I'm coming.

cnielsen 08-08-2006 04:42 PM

I'll be there and try to bring my RSR for its debut...

dailydriven911 08-08-2006 05:04 PM

I will be there bright and early!

I'll be there. For those not driving south.........local drive from the XXX anyone?

Scooter 08-08-2006 07:51 PM

I've decided against driving down to Portland on Saturday, so I might be up for a local drive on Saturday.

cospeed 08-08-2006 08:17 PM

Cool! I'm shooting to be at the XXX by 9am.

Wise choice. It might be hot and congested. :(
I-5 is such a bore; hopeless but not serious.
Aside from all the ruts, potholes, debris, and idiot drivers, it's a great way of making time between midnight and 4 AM.
Any other time: Forget it!
I got stuck again last Thursday when downtown was closed off for the Blue Angels. They just simply blocked off I-90 just before Seattle and left everyone sitting there.
What a night-mare; stuck for hours with SUV's and trucks idling not going anywhere.
Insane
Anyway, have fun whatever you do. :)

I already drove down last Sunday and saw most of the cars at the event. Regardless of heat, traffic or was well worth it. I just have too much going on to go down next weekend.
