Did you buy the white one in Sammamish?

Did anyone here see that '75 Carrera on craigslist sometime last week? The VIN was for a US Carrera, but the owner claimed it was purchased in Germany and had euro options, and the pictures showed an engine with MFI. I think he wanted $9500 for the whole car, which has to be worth it for one of those engines, right?

I saw it... not a true 911/83 engine. Chassis number is for a stock 911, not a US Carrera as far as I know. The car was very rusty...made swiss cheese look solid. Not a salvageable chassis at all! Most parts were very rusty too so that devalues any of the parts. The engine was MFI (2.4L)but the case was lacking the 911/83 stamp and then the serial number was not Porsche font and did not have the two little stars on either end of the serial number. Engine was almost siezed and the MFI linkage would barely budge. In my opinion it is a $2000 car just for a few parts at best.

Oh, and a tree had recently fallen on the front end...not that it matters after considering everything else.

Yes, the sammamish '67 is my new "R" project. It runs very, very well and should be an easy resto!

Damn you...the 67's are my favorite.

Can't wait to see the results though. Or the progress pic's.

Where were you last night? I heard you were coming...

A patient of mine that is a painter wanted to see the car. This should be a quick little resto. The car has very minor rust and the body is reasonably straight. I actually started cleaning out the door jambs last night and found that they are still original paint!

I'll be at the XXX Sat though.

Sounds good. Rust in the rockers.

Oh, and I want to dance with your date.
