total tally today was four including me.

jose asked 'where is everybody?' when i told him the porsche swap meet was going on today and there would likely be a low turnout, he said he was actually considering not doing the porsche breakfast anymore, because the amount he spends on employees to open early costs more than what he makes with the low turnout over the past few months.

i told him i'd mention it to the guys to see if we could either get a bigger turnout, or if it would be better to just stop doing this event.

what do you guys think?

I think the idea of getting together on a fixed day of the month (2nd Sat) is an outstanding idea. I think the food at the XXX leaves a lot to be desired. How about meeting at different spots each month until we find someplace that we want to keep coming back to.

I should add that one of the good things about the XXX is that you don't have to check the web site. Even if you haven't shown up in a year, you always know where the group will be.

I think a lot of people show up for the meet who dont bother checking here. If we start to change venue to random places we might end up with low turn out always.

Just a thought.

this was the first saturday i had to miss in a.....well i cant remember. the timming of the JWswap this year i think was the first time we have had a conflict. the last time we changed the venue really messed things up.

would he be willing to push it back a little closer to his regular opening time? then he would loose his shirt and we could get his regular business off to a head start... i have no problems sleeping in an extra hour on saturdays

Annual Griot's Garage sale this Saturday at 8:00AM. Great sales last year so I am going to skip the XXX and head down to Griot's.

Chris and I will be there. Same bat time, same bat channel. Ted - you coming up to to join us (so you can haul Drago's fat ass down)? If so, be at my place at 7:00.

Damn, Chris - I was going to ride the Duc down to show it off. Oh well; some other time. Besides, Drago would look funnier than hell riding b1tch on the back of that thing. Bet my front wheel wouldn't touch the ground all the way to Issaquah.

I'll be there if I can get my fuel pump back together. I was taking it apart to clean the filter and it did one of those clock spring SPROING deals...where little tiny parts fly all over the garage. Fortunately, the Facet pump inards look almost identical to the Bendix diagram I have and I think I found all the pieces.

Darn it - I forgot, I'm spending the weekend in a cabin in the middle of nowhere. And they say that your memory is the first to go. You guys will have to try and make do without me this time.

FA (drago) will have to drive his own ample posterior down. parents get in town tomorrow and dad has been looking forward to the Porsche breakfast for weeks.(the cars more than the food) we will meet you all at the store, 730am.

sorry to see the Duc wont be making its presence. wanted to hear those chirping intakes you have been going on about.

both times i have been to your house i was lead by a different person and would probably circle the mall several times till i figured it out, by then you all would have left for the meet-up place.

i just spoke with jose at triple-xxx, and he says they won't be serving breakfast, but he will be there at 9am with coffee and muffins for everyone. he is also planning to open earlier for lunch for us. we could potentially meet up there for coffee, and go for a quick local drive, and return for lunch or something.

where was every body? looks like just the regulars showed. sorry no pics but jeff did ride down the new Duc. looks like he knows what he is doing on that thing already. followed him all the way down and never once came close to running him over. not as toxic as the blue car. dad did enjoy seeing you all that did make the effort this morning.

looks like jose will keep up with the coffee and pastries next month. but not open till 9am so you all can sleep in a little more next month. he pays his emplyees very well, and the small turn out we have just wasnt making sense for him to open 3hrs early just for our gruppe anymore. hope to see you all there next month again.

Jose enjoys having us there still so please show him your support by showing Monday nite 9/15 at 6pm for the PNWR Bull session
