Not quite the XXX, but your passing out on the lawn and getting thrown out certainly elevated it to our demanding standards.

Al, since I'm in Tulsa, and you are frequently in Louisiana.... I think that puts the geographic center in Eastern Washington now!

I would say Kirkland. That's why I chose Brown Bag. Issaquah is definitely not the center, but its also not that far away. Traffic is the issue, not so much the demographic center. I can name several restaurants in Seattle, but nobody wants to drive in Seattle.

By the way, I don't think the low turnout this month was caused by Brown Bag, it just happened to be the location. People were just busy, lazy or otherwise not interested in seeing other Porsche enthusiast. Not coming down on anyone, I've missed a couple months myself for various reasons.

I don't think the new Top Pot Doughnut location in Issaquah is going to work. Plenty of parking, but very limited seating inside and Saturday mornings are very busy according to the manager.

Still soliciting suggestions!

Question: Has anybody gone to Lil' Jon's in Eastgate (Bellevue off I90)? It is vintage, so it goes well with our cars. The reviews are decent. Parking looks decent. But, they had a fire and won't be open again until October 16th.

I don't see a big parking lot there. I believe the issue is about parking, not the food.

there is a nice sized parking lot immediately next door by the dental office with what looks like a connected drive-thru access in the back. i bet that lot is usually empty on saturday mornings and probably all weekend.

i'm curious why we are not in favor of the brown bag cafe? here's a quick list of pros;
-decent food
-decent prices
-good/quick service
-willing to separate checks
-opens early
-willing to accommodate a small or large group
-centrally located
-easy freeway access
-large parking lot with plenty of free parking
-gas station next door

what are the cons? are there any?

It's just the "vibe". Doesn't feel right. It's probably too nice of a place for us. I know, I know - there are a few who like to bring their wives and girlfriends and therefor appreciate a "kinder, gentler" experience. The vast majority are, however, just "car guys" looking for something quick, rude, and crude. The whole nice sit-down breakfast thing is just too mamby-pamby for this crowd. The only reason we actually went indoors for a more or less "sit-down" breakfast with Jose was because of the element of risk involved. No, we need something more greasy spoon, truck stopish. Somewhere you can belch after a mountain of greasy sausage and eggs and not get thrown out of the place. Somewhere where you can do a burnout in the parking lot, and the staff will come out to watch. That kind of place.

Naw, I hear that's not quite the cultural destination spot it once was. Neither, apparently, is the Hilltop neighborhood down in Tacoma. Besides, both are too much of a drive.

What about something in Greenwood? There's a good parking lot by where JW's swap meet happens.

Does the Wingdome serve breakfasts? What about the joint we visit for the Walker swap fest and park where the meat is held, so to speak
