Fair enough, but since I already put my foot in my mouth, I'll just say I prefer gearheads to. . .uh. . .well. . .non-gearheads.

Sorry I missed BTW, something came up last minute. I will make the next one.

+1 on the Moon & Six, or on Horse Brass over on SE Belmont.

Hmm...
If a Porsche leaves Seattle at 5:00 travelling south at 70 mph, how many Superdog IPAs and slices of pizza can be consumed at the Lucky Labrador Beer Hall before 10:00?

Graham - I'll say 10 slices and a 12 pack (that's 10 PM, right....) I think the only way to find out for sure, is for you to come on down for the next one!

Josh, et al:

My thanks for setting this all up even though your "plate was full to overflowing" with car repair issues as well as the normal load of dealing with young children.

It was fun putting faces to names here even though Horton bent my ear for most of the evening,.... I'll get even, somehow,...LOL.

My only suggestion for the next one is having someone do some Wednesday eve scouting to find a venue thats conducive to conversation. The food @ Hopworks was excellent but the noise level made hearing everyone somewhat challenging (I've spent too much time in loud airplanes and cars).

Looking forward to October's, I am;

Steve and Lance - thanks for coming out. I agree about trying to find a place that's more condusive to talking. I've been to Hopworks 5 or so times, and have never seen it crowded enough for them to use the upstairs.

Let's try John's suggestion - Moon & Sixpence, for the next get together. I couldn't find a web site for them, but here's a review that seems favorable:

The Moon And Sixpence - Reviews - BeerAdvocate

Hopefully John can chime in here regarding parking.

A real British pub? Sounds good to me! And Steve; I will promise to be less loquacious next time....maybe.

I'll chime in re: parking - parking anywhere in the Hollywood neiughborhood is a royal PITA, and navigation can be challenging in the area as well if you aren't familiar with it. Also there really isn't room in there for a large table, so sitting together is unlikely.

Not to say we shouldn't go there (its a fun, fun place), but wanted to make folks aware.

P.S. Anyone wanting dart lessons, bring your sticks. First lesson free, subsequent lessons are one pint each.

JMHO, but if they can't sit 16-20 folks at one table, it defeats the "Main Mission",...

Alternatives?

Good point Steve. I'll give up parking for a better venue, just don't expect to see me show up in the Porsche, if I have to park in some back alley.

Wait a second.... I can see through all of those beers. To quote Stone Brewing, "Fizzy yellow beer is for wussies."

Paul - good call on Edgefield. I'd be up for the trek out there if others are. Also, does that mean you'd be willing to make a mid-week road trip down to join us? So far it looks like Wed is still everyone's top choice for getting together.

Power station? I bet we could call ahead for a table. FWIW, they have awesome massages there as well!
