Julie's parents arrive tomorrow (visiting from FLA), so I'm afraid I'm out this month. Sorry I'm going to miss the show-n-tell! Take pictures!

Planning my day .....................
My plan is to be there. If we don't do Baja next year. I think the the Gambler might be in the Rothsport plans. But not in a multi million dollar Dakar 959. LOL.

I won't be able to make it this month.

Although if you want a good laugh, my neighbor with the 718 Boxster received a recall notice from Porsche. It only applies to cars that have the "Smokers" package, which his car has even though he doesn't smoke...

The notice informs him that there is an issue with people tossing their lit butts out the window and them getting sucked into the air box. Presumably they can get lodged next to the air filter and start fire.

The fix is to have a mesh screen installed so the offending butts are not able to reach the air filter.

Makes one wonder if any cars have burned down from this, or are dealers finding them on air filter changes... ?!??!!?

Have a good evening everyone! I'll catch ya next month.

Oregon Festival of Cars..I think it's an annual event but I heard this year was a maybe. Seems like it's all back together again. They are advertising a caravan from Ron Tonkin Portland leaving Friday morning then overnight. Car show on Saturday with BBQ's, dinner and I think a rally or something.

Mark Jung has his car in the show. I'm just running over for the day on Saturday.

Over to Bend and back yesterday. Caught up with a big Merk (MB) SUV and we went up and over the pass at a good rate (70+), was hoping he had a radar detector while I was watching the backdoor.

I've heard of this car show for years, always wanted to attend but haven't. I was a little disappointed, there were only about 25 cars, one hotrod, about 10 porsches (two slant nose's), a Ferrari, couple Mazer's and Lambo's. Altogether about 25 cars. I guess I expected to see many more.

Good drive anyway and didn't hit the rain till I got back to Salem.
