Sooooo, I have my tickets to the Portland Grand Prix but I need some learning on the subtleties of the IndyCar show to increase my enjoyment. Perhaps one of our more learned members can hold some training sessions. Anyone interested?

I can help with that. Hopefully I can get to some BnBs this year, so feel free to ask me anything...I love talking Indycars. Random trivia, this May I'm going back to Indy for the 30th anniversary of my first Indy 500...been a fan for a while.

In the meantime, check out this year's schedule (https://www.indycar.com/Schedule). The first race is this weekend in St Pete, FL. All the races are on NBC or NBCSports.

You're on FB, you can follow the series here: https://www.facebook.com/indycar/

The best written news can be found from https://racer.com.

If you're into podcasts (I like to listen while I work), I'd highly recommend the excellent Marshall Pruett Podcast...he does one for Sports Cars as well as Indycar.

What I've always loved about Indycar is its diversity. Men and women from all around the globe race on road courses, street courses, and ovals. I always felt, to win a championship in Indycar was the greatest test of a racer.

Anywho...check out the race this weekend and we'll chat more soon!

Doug:

Thanks. Thought you might weigh in. I'll check these out. Perhaps we need a few viewing parties? Could be fun.

Can't host though, no regular or cable TV here.

I'm sure we could host an Indycar viewing party or three. Maybe at the next BnB we can look at the schedule and see what might be the best races. Parking might be a challenge...

Eric I confess I stopped watching F1 a couple of years ago. I got tired of Mercedes winning everything. And then there's ESPN...

FWIW we "cut the cable" this year, but we have an Apple TV and watch stuff on YouTubeTV.
