Great to see the gang. We were talking about range anxiety with electric cars. Here is horror story for one guy.

Yeah, we would expect to keep at least one of our fleet of ICE Volvos. But otherwise, we have not run into any recharge issues.

With the various adapters that are available (we own one of each type now, I believe), you should be able to recharge in any area that has electricity available. Granted, recharging with 110V may not be quick enough if you need to run your kid to the ED for an emergency appendectomy or similar.

My bigger concern with Tesla is their economic viability (rumor is that employees now have to bring their own TP to work? I need to check with Snopes on that one). But, in broad strokes, I am convinced that an EV can be a superior solution to an ICE vehicle for most normal usage. (And: I am not including flogging the backroads of the PNW as a "normal usage".)

I'd like one of these when they come out.
That's as EV as I'll ever want to get.

Remember one thing about all EV's, battery life, aka range really drops below 40 degrees and at 32, its almost cut in half.

Yo, Steve! Long time, no hear!

We did see a large drop this past Winter, but more like 30%. Regardless, we plan to keep at least one AWD Volvo wagon to be our Winter Beater.

When I get Kermie up to about 1000 ft-lbs of torque....you're on.
