Jim - talk about a thorough recon job! Thanks for the tip.

Rasta - does that mean you're coming or will you be hiding out in Paul's back yard?

Eric - I'll bring Sideways for you (you may need to remind me)

Paul - I've got you down as a definite for Nov 11th I think we should start planning a "Spring Fling" or "Summer Summit" in La Grande

Alas I cannot come. I have a conflicting meeting. Worse yet, one of my kids has the flu, and I fully expect to feel oinky myself before long. See you in Nov, I hope.

John - sorry to hear you can't make it. Although I was expecting as much, since I've been following your "borders have been breached" thread over in OT

Just made the reservation - we've got room for 10, but can probably expand it if needed.

Harry - I hope you can make it. I've got some oil questions for you (did I bait my hook correctly?)

Josh,

Sweet looking ride but we never did talk oil. Did Steve take care of you?

Another fun get together, thanks Josh!
I was talking to some folks about a cool website last night. The site has lots of cool photos from a 1972 Porsche factory tour, the Nurburgring, and many other historic races and events. Check it out at http://trackthoughts.com

It's not the easiest site to navigate...make sure you click on the titles of each subject to get to the good stuff.

Harry - It was more of a bait tatic than an actual question. I had just bought a few quarts of the Valvoline VR-1 20W-50 to have in a pinch, until I have a chance to buy another case of Brad Penn from Steve, but was wondering what your thoughts were on that oil. Thanks for bringing out your targa.

Glad everyone else could make it out. I had a great time and great conversation. I thought Mac's Tap Room worked well. Parking wasn't horrible and it was quiet enough in there to join a conversation at either end of the table. That being said, I'm up for exploring other options as well.

I think Jim volunteered to run some more recon missions for us, we just need to tell him where the target(s) is. I can imagine Jim's conversation at home, "Honey, it's not that I want to go to all of these bars, but I have to. I'm the recon man - it's part of the job..."

Josh,

Once again, thanx for spearheading this and making this a monthly event. I suspect we will expand in numbers as more folks get wind of what we are doing.

Boy, I'm glad we didn't get to discuss oil,.....

A special kudos goes to Mr. Horton who has accepted the job of "Tip of the Spear" in finding good locations. Everyone should chip in and buy that man the brew-of-his-choice for taking the time to do this. I know its a sacrifice,....

'Til November,
