Good to see everyone's smiling face this evening. It's been too long! And I apologize if my stories about dealing with kid's waste products convinced any of you to never have children. I still maintain that, net-net, they are worth it.

Nope, you just "brought up" some old memories. As far as your paerents home, hopefully, you can convince Carol to sub-out the work. You'll need to splain to her that who ever the contractor is that she can tell them the outcome she wants, or how to do the work. Doing both is not advised.

Or we can descend onto the house "en-masse" and get the job done for her! (To the best of our abilities, that is)

Damn- sounds like I missed a conversation I might have been able to actually contribute to! I've gotta learn to just say no to my clients on Thursday evenings!

I'm sorry I missed out last night. I spent the evening trying to trap a pesky mouse......it's a long story. If only I had a cat.
Congrats Doug. See you in the spring. See everyone else next month.

Cool - thanks for the link. I don't think I could fit one of those in Brody's room, unless I knocked down...

Hi Mike. That is a kind offer, and I appreciate it, but the demo work is largely done. What we need now is someone that can do the repair work (mostly dry wall, then new flooring) and mitigate the source of the leakage at the foundation.

Will definitely post some pics of the wedding "up country" at my girl friend's village.
Will be a real "trip" for sure. Lots of great memories and tasty Thai food and Thai whiskey for sure. I'll be dressed in traditional Thai garb! My g/f will be looking beautiful as always.... ![]() ![]() Keep all you guys posted. Here's our invitation in Thai. Good luck reading any of it! My g/f's name is Som....obviously. ![]() ![]()

For grins....
Thailand has massive import tariffs on cars not built in Thailand. For example.... A plain Jane Mini Cooper is about 100,000 US. If you want to upgrade to a brand new GT3. Your talking in the neighborhood of $600 or 700 thousand US bucks. For real! When you see one of these driving around town (which I do from time to time), you know they really have some money! ![]()

Hit the local amphur (district office here in Bangkok) for some Valentine's Day wedding fun.
2 hrs later, we were married. The formal Buddhist ceremony will be on March 2. Will send some pics of that event at that time. ![]()
