Excellent timing! Congratulations!
How does she feel about sharing you with Kermie, though?

This year perhaps we won't get washed out
Emory's Porsche Campout and Swapmeet
Parts Obsolete for Porsches - Campout 2012, June 22-24 Parts Obsolete for Porsches - Campout 2012, June 22-24 This is the 18th Annual Porsche Campout And Swap Meet. It is fun for the whole family. Porsche's Drive, push, drag, or tow it. If you have a Porsche there is no excuse for not showing up to the most fun and relaxed event of the year. There will be peoples choice awards with various classes. Camping Everyone is encouraged to pull out their tents and sleeping bags. There will be peoples choice awards for the best campsites, so get creative and have fun. If you don’t like to rough it, there are hotels within minutes. Activities If you like to eat, look at cars, listen to music, tell stories, camp, look at old race photos, play games, party, pet animals, buy/sell parts, sit around the campfire, roast marshmallows, or just relax, then you won’t be disappointed Swap Meet The swap meet is Porsche and VW. It has been our experience that VW guys often have allot of Porsche parts also.

Is there any interest in trying a new place to meet? I noticed that Hopworks has a decent "happy hour"

We tried Hopworks early on. They were horribly packed and trying to find a place to fit us all was an issue. We eneded up upstairs with a bunch of kids running around.
Maybe they're no longer the flavor of the month and aren't as busy anymore. They used to be great, before everyone else discovered them. As a result, I haven't been back in 4 years.

So, is this a call-out to me to continue the recon work that Carol and I so selflessly carried out in the past, to personally visit and vet pubs for our meetings? I am always willing to exert myself in this manner for the common good. And glad to have company on said expeditions.

While it favors those who like in SW, what about the Raleigh Hill Pub on Beaverton-Hillsdale Hwy and Schools Ferry?

Not that I make it much as is, but you'll never see me at a meeting if we move the venue any further west of the city than our current location.

Harumpffff. I would suggest the Kennedy School (NE Portland) but, in the past, have not been willing to hold a table for us.

Sorry Harry, not trying to be (too) grumpy, but I'm driving close to an hour and a half as is to the Tap Room. Gotta say, I sure don't miss that Portland traffic on my daily commute.
Kennedy would be great (closer for me) but I think they may be like HUB in regards to being able to hold a conversation. I know they have several different bar areas, including the newer Boiler Room area. They all seem to operate almost independently. Maybe one of the auxilary bars would be willing to hold a table as well as provide a better atmosphere for conversation.

I have no idea either. I just hacked this user name and thought it'd be funny to convince everyone to meet at some bar way out in Hood River....
