FS: 79 SC Targa in Marysville-$8500
Well, the dreaded moment has come...
My beloved 1979 SC Targa is on the block. Here's the scoop: Petrolblau/Cork 207k mi ![]() Upgrades/Mods: Backdated numbered temp gauge with correct sender Cat bypass JW installed Carrera tensioners Clewett wires ![]() MOMO Competition wheel/matching shift knob A/C compressor, smog pump removed (will include with sale) New cork seat covers (vinyl) perfect match with interior ![]() This 911 has run beautifully ever since the day I bought her just over 3 years ago. Never left me stranded or given me the slightest trouble. CIS works as it should, warms up quickly and always starts immediately no matter what the weather. Targa top is fine, skin is excellent with a little ripple on the back of the frame when installed. No biggie. Just took a round trip to Spokane last month, 600 miles in one day purring the whole way. Pulls very strong all the way up, and the cat bypass gives a little more breathing room. I wouldn't hesitate to drive to San Diego on a moment's notice. Included in the sale is: Original cork leather seats (non-sport, decent shape) Orig. shift knob and wheel Orig. cat/heat shield Fog lights/hardware (taken off last year) Orig spare and tool kit/jack Brand new in box Appbiz door cards, with new clips and s. steel switch brackets Bentley/101 Projects/How to Rebuild books Whatever misc. I can dig up. Yes, she's got 207k on the clock, but I've taken excellent care of her these past few years, and saw no reason to open her up. Couple drips, JW said no broken studs at last valve adjust. The weak: Faded carpet on rear fold-down seats (covered with cork carpet piece now) Paint was well-matched but not perfectly sprayed when rear fender-bender occurred many years ago (all is straight, and you can take your hand off the wheel at 90 with no wandering at all) All in all, an honest, solid SC, a nice ten-footer that shines up well, and a hell of a deal for someone looking for a daily driver or a platform for further mods. I REALLY don't want to deal with Craigslist/Internet clowns, and hope a fellow Pelican will give her a loving home. I've gotta get a lame minivan...but not worried; this is my 4th P-Car and I'll be back! If interested please PM. Gotta go soon, looking for local sale. Swing by and let's go for a drive! $8500.00 Thanks for looking guys. Eric ![]()

Couple more pics...the blue paint on rear tire is not from the car, it's from wet handicapped spot paint!
(No, I didn't park there). This SC comes with a massive folder of records and receipts... ![]() ![]() ![]() I'd like to see it go to a fellow enthusiast; though it needs a few little things it's a daily driver with no mechanical issues at all. Thanks for all the replies, everyone.
