2017 PCA parade spokane 6/6-10?/17

hi guys - just doing a winter search for events, while the roads here are frozen, and i saw a few mentions that the 2017 pca parade will be in spokane, wa around 6/6-16/17 - it also looks like the davenport hotel will be one of the event sites

i haven't been to a pca parade, and i missed the portland, or event a few years ago - maybe, i'll make it out to the spokane parade in 2017 - i've stayed at the davenport and its great - i've also driven spokane raceway and that was fun too

never too early to plan!

cheers and happy new year - brad k

I spend a lot of time in Spokane, this seems like great news to me. I will most likely be there.

Thinking of coming down from Kelowna as well, nice that it's close by.

Brad,
That sounds like a good time and a nice road trip. To close by to miss. I haven't been to a pca parade either and hopefully my 69X will be ready to roll by then.

regards,
al

I will be going because the drive there is so gorgeous. Guess I will have to re-join PCA. Now which car without AC to take? Bet there are some great back highways

Prolapsed Capitulating Arsonists?

I always was a big fan of fire pits and fire places but the prolapse thing would make me reconsider.

here's a video:

wow, the music is interesting - kind of reminds me of the musical scene at the end of revenge of the nerds - hope that 80's music didn't just make it to spokane

never been to a parade - maybe this year, as i'm pretty close by in seattle

Rumor has it that a group of local Porsche enthusiasts, loosely organized into a "club" of sorts, may try to limp their way over in a rag-tag collection of cobbled together, barely running old 911's. That's what I've heard, anyway.

I will bring the rags, if someone else brings the tags.

Maybe our jelopies should fly black flags with a certain outlaw Gruppe logo in the middle.

i looked at the itinerary for the last parade, which seems to be the schedule for all parades - frankly, i'm not that into many of the events - i don't concours (I don't know if there will be a simple show n shine zone) - i don't want to x-cross in that venue - i don't care about radio control cars, etc - i just want to arrive, drive, do an informal car show, track day would be great, do more drives, eat, sleep, leave - maybe it makes sense to go to this parade, but not really "attend" this parade - i don't know - i did have a very good time staying at the old davenport and eating at some of the modern foodie joints nearby - i'll try to post when the registration opens up - bbk

when it's done, you should just vacuum pack the 911 in plastic - trailer it to the parade, and just then unwrap - sounds like a joke, but i've seen some of the parade concours guys do just that!

Don't worry, I'll borrow another can of foamy window cleaner to wipe it down after I park it.
