Metal flare replacement.

I have had an accident. The rear turbo flare in not repairable so I’ve bought a new one. I welded the flare on that’s damaged and could just cut the weld out and reweld I guess.
Is there anything I should have thought through other than just doing that? The original replacement was welded on using most of the Dansk flare material meaning I don’t have much additional material on the new one.
Thanks.

Metal surgeon isn’t re-welding my flare back on so it probably won’t be worthy of photos. I will send a picture of the finished product for sure perhaps I’ll send a picture of the welded flare we will see. Right now I have left it off so that I can have more room to do suspension work
