Jo Siffert's Porsche 917/10 Can Am Car Replica Needs Paint!!!

I am working on the body for my replica of Jo Siffert's Can Am 917/10 and I'm having a lot of trouble finding the paint formula for Blood Orange/Tangerine which is what I Think the car was painted.

The Porsche codes during their use are, 2323, 2310, L2323, L6809 and L7002

PPG 60541

Dupont 8371L 99582

Sherwin Williams 3928

I need the actual mix formulas for those paints.

You can see the car and it's build history at JB91710 on YouTube. Click on Videos at the top of the page.

Thanks,

Jack

Thanks. Any idea how I can find the paint formula? I am going to a Porsche dealer today. I asked two Porsche tuning/restoration shops but neither has gotten back to me. Couldn't find anything through Google. 108 views in the paint section and not one person knows!!!

the blutorange aka blood orange codes are 018 or 2323.
018 is a code used for the 1972 to 1973
2323 is a code used for 1970 to 1972 same colors just the code numbers changed
you want the formulas but for what paint system? glasurit , RM limco ????? all the tint numbers are different so they do not cross over to other lines of paint. they do not even cross over between the basf paint lines.
if you have the paint codes then mix up enough to do a few spray out.
both the blutorange codes have formulas for them in BASF.

Thanks guys. That is all the information I already acquired. Now I know that the formula is Paint Manufacturer Specific. I have only tried Sherwin Williams and they couldn't find anything. I'll keep looking.

I'm going to paint this myself as I don't have anyone else to do it so I have to use the simplest to apply paint possible. Any pointers in that direction? This does NOT have to be a show car finish. It is a replica of a 1971 race car that Never had a "Good" paint job. Nothing like the car does today.

i must be missing the problem with the paint codes or formulas.
being that BASF was/is the manufacture that supplied the paint to porsche any basf jobber will have the paint formulas ( and do !) i have them in my formula look up for basf.

I'm new to auto paint lingo and components. I haven't been to BASF and no other dealers, PPG, Sherwin Williams, Dupont could help me. I will search BASF now. Thanks!
