Why shouldnt I put Epoxy primer over etching primer?

Painting a 1965 International truck.

I am looking to spray one part Sikkens Washprimer 1K CF over the bare metal. Its a single coat application etching primer.

I looked at the technical data sheet and it states not to use it in conjunction with epoxy paints and I am assuming that would include epoxy primers.

I have an acrylic based primer filler which is compatible but why cant epoxy primer be used? Is it an adhesion issue?

Isn't more better? :)

I may be wrong, but the point of epoxy primer is to keep the metal dry and less prone to rust. So shouldn't it be in direct contact with the metal?

I think you just answered my question.

Was curious. That's all.
