Spare tire paint
What is the correct " silver" color for the mid 70's collapsible spare tires? Any guidance on refinishing?

In my opinion, all spare tires should be black. Now that I have my smart *ss comment out of the way, here is some discussion on the correct color. https://www.early911sregistry.org/forums/showthread.php?61595-Steel-Wheel-Questions&highlight=steel+wheel+color
Also, I think SEM makes a silver wheel paint that is close. Back to the black tires, they actually make a black latex tire paint that works. The giant tire repair guys use it by the 5 gallon buckets. https://www.alltiresupply.com/products/5-gal-concentrate-black-tire-paint-water-base?variant=16085181595722 |

Sure. You should try that tire paint. Makes them look like actual rubber instead of all that gloss crap everyone uses.
