oe black primer and floor coating question

Finally received my 930 back from the celette torture rack and getting to the refinish work, the car is more apart than when I originally got it in parts 25 yrs ago... Couple questions for anyone in the know...
The new factory fender is in black primer, anyone know whether it's epoxy or etch?
Had great success pulling the sound coating from the floors, it was cracked and flaking in many areas, makita 18v orbital tool with a scraper blade/dull blade/ and wood turning chisels for the radiused areas. Now looking to recoat, any suggestions for finish and sound control? Not interested in hack job diy solutions. Thanks. That's the original finish and writing under the dash pad

Gratuitous before shot Not a panel was spared and the pearl midcoat finish is impossible to blend

the new fender has what is called an E-coating on it it's very corrosion resistant.
E-coating or Electro-deposition is done by dipping the panel and using an electrical process.
they tend to be an epoxy based coating.
to prep the new E-coat is just a matter of sanding with 320 grit and then seal with an epoxy sealer.
for sealing it you can go wet on wet right to top coat. just spray one coat of sealer then let it flash off then you can spray your b are or single stage right over it.
if your going to go wet on wet make sure the epoxy sealer you pick is wet on wet computable

That's what I was hoping to hear, thank you! I don't think my production rate allows for anything wet on wet! I wish!
Any thoughts on an acceptable updated 'correctish' floor pan coating? I feel like we should be beyond the old layer of tar.
Thanks again! Tom

production rate?
with the floor pan after you have cleaned it up ( sounds like pretty much you will want to go to bare or almost bare metal. you can use rust-shield on the pan.
get there flat black and there hardener for it once the hardener is added you will get the same look and gloss as the pans were from the factory. depending on the tip size in your gun you may want to put just about 5% of a fast enamel reducer in it. this will just get it to spray and atomize the paint better if your using say a 1.3 tip in your gun.
you can do the finish prep sanding in a 180 or 100 grit.

Ha yeah it's pretty slow going removing old finish, my original respray and getting it all together with the recent correct repairs (no panel escaped without paint damage). Fortunately found a guy with some old formula aircraft stripper (facebook of all places) That's a great sounding solution especially with the spots of light surface corrosion. I haven't ruled out sound control but first things first. I have 1.2 1.3 and 1.4 tips for the gun, good to know it can be reduced a bit if needed. Thank you again.
