Rain/Salt Stain/Damage Help!

i don't normally stress when it comes to general paint blemishes since my cars are not concourse, however, after one very rainy drive last march, i got home late and parked it wet from a storm — living in NYC means your car is not where you live and so i wasn't able to actually make it back to wash it until months later (i know... we had a baby.)

once i finally washed it i realized something was already ruined and was not coming off... please help!

i can't tell if it's salt that could have still been on the road in march or if it's rain because there's also a spot on the hood where i think a garage drip occurred during a huge storm.

i have no detailing experience and looking for some tips to tackle this... clay? polish? where do i start? it's also on the wheels...

thanks in advance.

note: color is dunkelblau Dark Blue

Try a mild polish first. If it didn't work, use ultimate compound.

Get some mequires 105 and 205. Wash, clay bar, start with 205 if that doesn’t work switch to 105 then follow up with 205. Auto geek.net is a good place for detail info.

it looks more like the roof was leaking in a parking garage on the car running down and splashing back up on the side of the car.
if it's dripping from a parking garage it could take some work to get the stains out of the finish.
I have had to del with this on a few cars wash the car dry then with a polishing compound and buffer ( not a orbital one ) see if it will buff out. if not you may need to lightly sand it with 2000 grit wet sand paper then buff it. the problem is if you don't know what your doing you could make it worse.
so you may just want to take the car to a detail shop and have them see what they can do with it.
