Which celette bench?

Ive searched online without luck, short of calling celette to ask about their heritage line. Figure there might be some celette experts here. I see alot of guys using the 7 series bench. Ive found a 5 series cheap but not sure it compatible with the mz towers etc. Anyone know off hand? Would be for setting up a 911 chassis. Thanks.

MZ towers are compatible with a 5 series. MZ system is universal to all older Celette benches. Think they now sell MZ+. IDK how far backwards compatible it is. If you are planning on getting one call Celette and they will answer any questions you have.

Have you ever used a Celette before? Or have experience with any frame/unibody system? Commercial or private use? Just curious. I will say that short of doing a major rust repair it's really overkill for a DIY'er. But if that's what you want more power to you. And remember just because you are using one, it's not magic, you got to set it up correctly and if you have to pull something you need to understand what's going on, and how to pull it out correctly. Just saying that if you are new to this.

Here is a link to the current catalog. Some good info in there.

Thanks. I started a side business and it seems like a good idea to pick on up if I can do it economically. The market and economy downturn have made some things cheaper. I want to get the knowledge base so that I can pull the trigger when the time comes. My thought is to use it for a couple projects and have it available for rental diy on the side. I will likely pick up an older alfa 105 body which always need major rust repairs.

As to using a celette in the past ... no I have not. I come from a welding background so I understand the concept of setting level and measuring to set up jigs.

I think the major push to getting a bench is to keep my lifts open for other projects.

There's a lot of garbage that passes for tech advice on youtube, so keep that in mind, but there are quite a few videos of celette benches on there. You might find it helpful in setting it up.

Make sure to look that used bench over carefully. Check for level as they get abused (all frame machines do really) and occasionally get "sprung" from improper pulling.
