What to use on polished Fuchs
I just had my Fuchs refinished I had the centers painted and the lip polished Question is what should I do with the lip to protect it? Should I clear it? If so what should I use to do that? It would have to be a rattle can. Or should I just ceramic coat them?
Thanks http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1710173428.jpg |
Did the shop that did the work recommend anything? That would be my first call. Looking at the picture, they look more like they have been anodized (like the factory did) Polished looks more like chrome to my eye. Your wheel looks very nice. :)

No recommendations from the shop. The picture does not show it accurately they are highly polished. Thanks for the reply.

Hi Mike, there are special clear coats for going directly onto alloy wheels. Probably best to talk to a car paint supplier. You will be looking for something like this and best to go 2K.

I wouldn’t paint. Paint always chips or yellows. I would buff it with some mother’s polish once a month and put a little Vaseline on the black paint ( that’s what Porsche use to recommend)
