Painting Front Valance
I need to re-paint my guards red front valance. I notice the valance has an undercoated texture to it. I will need to bump out a dent or two and would like to return it to original finish. I would also like to use as durable a paint as possible. Can I get some guidance on undercoat and paint?

I use a Wurth product to reproduce the texture, as for paint I like PPG, but there are other choises.

Does the Wurth product come in rattle cans?
Is the PPG product 2 stage (color and clear)? Thanks for the help.

I painted my front valence, rear bumper, and rear valence this year using PPG DXX. I didn't do bc/cc for these particular parts and it has held up very well. The front was done last December. I did use the urethane hardner in the basecoat.
I'll eventually repaint the whole car and for that I will use bc/cc.

Thanks Mark,
Based on Mark's input and some research it looks like I should spray Wurth SKS gray on first and then color, either bc and urethane hardner or bc/cc to get the textured OEM look. I am also thinking I can get away with a Preval setup to avoid the $200 for a SATA gun. Does that make sense to you guys?

Looks like you are almost ready, that Preval set up should be good for the size of the job, but I don't know the viscosity of the paint that you are going to use, it is a spray can like, so the paint may have to fairly thin, you are painting red over gray so it may need more coats to achieve proper hiding.
Where do you get a Sata for $200.00?

SATA Minijet 4 on e-bay $199. Is that high or low? I'm a rookie at this.

I remember paying a little more for my mini jet, but I got it when they just came out, good luck with your project, and let us know how it went.
