				 | Turn Signal Housing Removal
Is there a trick to removing the turn signal housing from the front fenders? (Longhood) I almost broke the plastic backing from the housing when I pulled the lamp out of the fender. Is disassembling/unscrewing the back plastic piece the only way to do it? I'm puzzled.... Erik

I you take the front lens, there are two screws, one on each corner, they may be so rusted, you might have to use a drill. ground wire and plug, and they are off.

This was difficult in my '72. The 2 bolts that hold the housing on (accessible after taking the lens off) have dysfuntional nut holders that don't hold the nuts very well and they allow the nuts to turn. I taught myself a few new cuss words trying to get those frigging things off. I eventually got them off but in retrospect, it might have been easier to take the bumper off just to get better access to the nuts.
