Phone Dial Rims-Powder Coat
Has anyone sand blasted and then powder coated phone dial rims?
I am in the process of removing the prior surface-it appears to be powder coating-it is coming off very hard. Also-is there any issue heating the rims to 450F in the powder coating process? Any distortion, etc? Thanks Jon |

I am not sure about the wheels that you have but these wheels were powder coated, so I don't think the heat will affect them

450 is about as hot as you want to get them or you may start messing with the temper of them.
That said, I poweder coat a fair number of wheel centers for the wheels I produce, however I am not sure if the oven my coater uses gets to 450. I will ask him. Cheers
