Hello,
I've been doing too many projects where someone said "Just take out your Dremel and cut a notch" or something like that. So it's time to buy one. I've read a lot of mixed press on Dremel. What rotary tool do you recommend for a very amateur guy working on his car and around home projects? Thanks, Alan |

I would look for a local Harbor Freight....they sell very inexpensive air grinders and cut-off saws (assuming you've got compressed air)... They are great for small projects.
Good luck, Helmethead

Thanks for the suggestion, but my garage is a two car garage without a compressor. I also do detail work in a basement workshop. I'd like something that is portable and doesn't need a compressor.
Thanks, Alan |

Hi Alan, I would have to say to go with the corded, Dremel. A lot of the time, you can find various kits, that have a fair assortment of the different bits and fittings that you will need. I do not care for the cordless models, because I want to know that I will be able to just turn it on and it will work, till I finish the job. That is why I prefer the "plug-in" models. They are handy tools to have. There are comparable tools to the "DREMEL" out there, you will just need to find the one that you like the feel of, and what kind of goodies come with it. Good luck!! Tony.
